What are Glabella Lines and how are they treated with anti-wrinkle injections?

Glabella lines, also known as frown lines or “eleven lines,” are the vertical creases that appear between your eyebrows. They are caused by repeated muscle contractions when you frown, squint, or concentrate. Over time, these dynamic lines can become permanent, even when your face is at rest.

Botulinum toxin injections are a highly effective anti-wrinkle treatment for glabella lines. The treatment involves small, precise amounts of anti-wrinkle injections into the muscles between your eyebrows that cause you to frown. The treatment temporarily weakens their ability to contract. This smooths the skin and reduces the appearance of the lines creating a more relaxed appearance.
